Michael Frayn's play is a brilliant construct.
On the ground floor it is about a master builder who builds tower blocks for planners
rather than homes for people, and the rows he gets into over his concepts.
On upper floors it is about tolerance and dogma, love and betrayal, life and death
and good and evil.
The Guardian's Michael Billington described it as a total pleasure. It is a play
about sex and principles clashing amongst the four people (two couples) whose lives
are changed by their beliefs and discoveries.
