The Play
AD 61. Rebellion is stirring in the Roman province of Britannia, and it’s led by a woman. Rome has refused Boudica her throne as Queen of the Iceni. Rome has flogged and humiliated her, Rome has defiled her daughters. But Boudica won’t lie down and lick her wounds. She wants revenge, and she’s bringing an army.
