AUDITION PIECES
The audition will consist of a mixture of improvisation, group games and small snippets of the script which you will be provided with. We’re looking for creativity, spark and enthusiasm.

The Play
The Long Road centres on the aftermath of the murder of 18-year-old Danny, and the devastating impact of this apparently random act of violence on his mother, father and brother. As each family member wrestles with grief, guilt and forgiveness, they must decide whether to have contact with Danny’s killer. Will this offer understanding and release - or deepen their despair?
Rehearsals
Rehearsals will be held on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning on Sunday 15 February 2026. Sunday rehearsals will start at 3.30pm, rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.30pm. Unless stated otherwise, all rehearsals will be held at the Free Church Hall (same venue as the audition).
We expect cast members to be available for all rehearsals (including technical and dress rehearsals) in show week 13 - 19 April.
Performances
There will be four performances, which will take place from 16 - 19 April 2026 at Upstairs at the Gatehouse, Highgate, N6 4BD.

You do not have to be a member to audition, but if you get a part you will need to join in order to perform. Further information about membership can be found here
Before auditioning, please ensure you are available for the show dates and every evening of the production week leading up to the first performance as you will be needed for tech and dress rehearsals in the venue.
