AUDITION: Daisy Pulls it Off

Sunday 08 November 2026

18:30 Free Church Hall.

Director:Teresa Poland

The Play:

Come and join us in this mysterious, rip-roaring adventure!

Daisy Meredith, the new girl, is the first scholarship student to attend Grangewood School for Girls. The privileged students are determined to make Daisy look bad in the eyes of the school administration, which has its own problems, particularly financial ones. However, Daisy wins over her classmates and saves the school when she cracks a secret code, discovers a treasure and saves the life of her chief rival—all in the same night!

This is very much an ensemble piece and as such the Audition will be more of a workshop in style. It would be useful to familiarise yourself with the play, but you won’t need to study individual audition pieces beforehand.

Rehearsals:

Rehearsals will be held on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning on Tuesday 1st December 2026. Sunday rehearsals will start at 4pm(tbc), rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm.

Cast members are expected to be available for all rehearsals (including technical and dress rehearsals) from 1st December onwards.

Performances:

There will be four performances, which will take place from 4th - 7th February 2027 at Upstairs at the Gatehouse, Highgate, N6 4BD

the Small Print

You do not have to be a member to audition, but if you get a part you will need to join in order to perform. Further information about membership can be found here.

Before auditioning, please ensure you are available for the show dates and every evening of the production week leading up to the first performance as you will be needed for tech and dress rehearsals in the venue.

All cast and crew are expected to get stuck in to support the success of the show and that may involve being asked to help build/paint set or help with marketing and publicity etc. Ultimately amateur theatre is a team sport and we want to make sure we are all getting our hands nice and dirty – it’s all part of the fun!
